Step 2 - Deciding What To Do

You may be one of the lucky few who actually know what they want to do...however, in our experience,
most people are less focused and might need a little help and advice.

For example, you may decide you would like to work
in the media...but so would thousands of others so the chances of finding a meaningful job after training
is negligible.

You need to rationalise your ambition and ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is there a shortage in the industry I would
    like to join?

  • Is there an opportunity to earn a good wage?

  • Can I achieve my personal goals?

It would be a mistake to consider training for an industry that had no shortages or no future prospects.

In fact, if you are looking for a secure, long term future career in an industry where future growth and demand is assured...then you should be looking at the electrical, plumbing or construction industry. Not only is there an ongoing shortage of skilled personnel but there is also a huge variety of trades to choose from within this sector.

Let Access Training help you decide which of those trades is the best one for you.
