Professional Bricklaying Course

Our City & Guilds Bricklaying courses cover the topics necessary to become a bricklayer.

Pre-Requisites
To enrol on this programme, you don’t need any previous experience of bricklaying. The most important requirement is a desire to learn.

Learning Method
The course is provided as a series of practical workshop modules. Each module ends with an assessment to ensure you achieve the desired competency that will determine your progress through the course. This is a progressive course where your ability will improve over each module under the guidance of an experienced and highly qualified tutor.

Practical Workshops
You will be spending your time under instruction at our training centre to complete the practical modules that make up your programme. Your progress will be discussed formally at the end of each module and you will have the opportunity to discuss in depth any course related issues with an instructor at any time during
the course.

Throughout the course you will be building a portfolio of work which will be used as proof of your accomplishments. You will need to provide your own overalls and steel toe-capped working shoes, although these can be provided at cost price should you need them. All necessary tools and materials will be provided.

Qualifications
After successfully completing the training you will achieve the City & Guilds 6000 series certificate; the qualification can later be used for working towards an NVQ Level 2.

The student will also be given the opportunity to
attain their CSCS Card; this will be discussed during
the course.

Course Duration:
1 to 5 Weeks (up to 2 years to complete the course)

Tutor Support
Our tutors are available to provide you with all the necessary support to successfully complete your training programme. If this support is required whilst you are not actually attending a practical workshop, you can contact a tutor by telephone. This service is available between 8am and 4pm from Monday to Friday.

Careers Advice
One of the benefits of training with Access Training is that our instructors have vast experience of working in the industry and are only too keen to pass on their knowledge. They can guide you in the right direction for either gaining employment or becoming self-employed.
